FAMILY REUNION - 2012

It's that time of the year again, when the Loligi branch of the Seumanutafa (Seu) & Simeanamulu (Simea) descendants in New Zealand get together on Monday Auckland anniversary weekend in 2012 and start the day with umu making - teaching the younger generations the art of Samoan open fire cuisne. It's the time for meeting new family members, hearing the stories of the older aunts and uncles but essentially remembering the centrality of God in our family lives.

The highlight of the day are the family items from each branch - not even New Zealand Idol could match the up and coming artistic flair and talent of the younger generations coming up through the ranks.

Lastly and perhaps most importantly this year is that Ted Pogai, grandson of Tofuin'u and George Hughes has volunteered to begin and complete recording all names of the 4th and 5th and perhaps 6th generation members of the Seu and Simea clan.

Be there if you can and for those yet to come - we hope we are all still around when you decide to make it. Looking forward to seeing you all on the day. Details of venue and times on Seumanutafa Family Facebook page.
